Donor prepaid card is a niche segment but has been growing strongly over the last eight quarters. This segment has attracted big players and rate of innovation has been increasing. Technology firm Wirecard North America, in collaboration with CSL Plasma, has introduced a first-of-its-kind cash-back donor prepaid card.
Claimed to be the industry's first, the new card offers cash discounts on purchases for Platinum level donors of CSL Plasma’s new iGive Rewards Loyalty Program. These donors will receive additional points and other perks, apart from cash-back for purchases made at quick service restaurants and local grocery stores. The cash-back benefit is directly remitted to the donors’ reward card.
The new cash-back rewards prepaid card is expected to drive loyalty and customer satisfaction for businesses as it provides more exclusivity and benefits to valued donors. In addition, it also encourages plasma donors as they give their valuable time to help in patient therapy.
The Platinum level cash-back rewards card is the new addition to the iGive Rewards platform.
Wirecard North America, a subsidiary of Germany-based technology firm Wirecard AG, forayed into the North American market recently and intends to extend its offerings worldwide. CSL Plasma is one of the world's largest collectors of human plasma and operates as a subsidiary of Australian biotechnology firm CSL Limited.
