Peoples Trust and Koho launch Smart Spending Account

Canadian prepaid card issuer Peoples Trust Company, in partnership with fintech firm Koho, has launched a Smart Spending Account and branded Visa prepaid card.

With the new card, both the companies intend to deliver a mobile, no-fee spending account to millennials in Canada.

Peoples Trust provides a range of issuing services for reloadable and single-load open-loop prepaid cards, BIN sponsorship, regulatory expertise and market guidance. Under the partnership, Peoples Trust will provide prepaid issuing services, market expertise and regulatory guidance to Koho. Peoples Trust Company will issue the Koho Visa Prepaid card pursuant to license by Visa International.
